I am fascinated by big rubs, It seems that there is a thread about every year for big whitetail rubs, and I havn't seen one started yet this year so let's see them!

Here's one I snapped a shot of this morning. It was one of several hundred I saw on the same ridge where I watched a true monster today but thats another story in itself!

I have posted this one before, it was from 2009 I think and in Indiana. Thats a full size day pack for reference. I actually saw 3 different bucks work this tree that year!

Here's some I found a couple of days ago. I ended up finding over 30 huge rubs, some on trees bigger than my thigh.

Great pics above!  I dont have a photo, but in a non hunting area of Maine, we found a rubbing tree that was hit every year for over ten years that we hiked in there.  It was on an old apple tree, a thick lower limb grew down then shot back towards the tree....just like a bent knee and about the same proportions. It was polished mirror smooth right at the "knee cap", really cool!
