Must be getting old because the boots that have been keeping my feet warm aren't cutting it this year and it ain't even cold yet. Could use some recommendations on some new ones. Thanks!

I always loved rocky 1000 grams and muck boots.  But had a total knee done and cann't use them.  I picked up the artic shield over boots, I put one on with tennis shoe and bam 20 sec foot was hot.  I am hoping to use my Beans and them.  If you look at this ensure you get a size big enough.

I just ordered the rocky blizzard stalker pro they are a good boot this will be my second pair 1200gr and snow shoes strap on them good

I have a pair of Sorrel Dominators, they are my second pair the first lasted me 22 years. A little heavy but nothing warmer, they are around $150. These are stand boots only, you would not want to walk miles in them. Shawn

I've been using kenetrek northern pacs this year with good results.

No boots on the market short of something with heaters in them, will beat the Mickey Mouse boots plus they are very cheap.

Yepper. Steger mukluks. Artic model. Until I bought and wore these, I was plagued with cold footsies. You've never worn anything so light yet warm.

I have a pair of Sorrel "Frontiers" that are 30+ yrs old and still look like new. I only wear them in the snow and have never owned a warmer boot. If you go with a pac boot be sure to get the wool felt liners as the newer material is useless...PR

I find the secret to keeping my feet warm is to keep them dry.  With that said, I rub deodorant all over my feet and in between the toes.
Sounds crazy, but it keeps them dry and warm with my Lacrosse rubber boots.  Worth mentioning...I hunt the midwest and in late season.

With a decent set of socks, I find I can get along with my Keen Summits just fine. And, by set, I mean two layers - a polyester inner sock and a wool outer sock.
I also keep a pair of the chemical hand warmers around if it gets too bad, but have never needed them.

Like Rick said, half of it is about keeping dry.

I've used Schnees and Kenetrek rubber bottom pak boots for years and find their advertised ratings for temps to be quite accurate.I still prefer removable liners to dry them faster.
These boots are also rebuildable for way less than a new pair.
The Companies that claim their boots are warm to -150 degrees are STUPID because you would die before you worry about your feet!  

Sorel Caribous.  But invest in some insoles, they don't have the best footbeds.  I have been in them for the past 5 days.  Feet are warm but the planter fasciitis has returned a bit.

Steger mukluks, none better! They are light, warm, they breath, and they are quiet!! Up here, trust me I tryed every thing, and I live outdoor, use to dog mush, I snowshoe, walk a lot in -40 temparature and they are the best I've come up with!!

The mickey boots are warm, that"s it. They don't breath, they are heavy, and noisy!!
