Been hunting trad for a few years with various bows, but still bringing home meat with the wheels.  Sold my last compound and took my first traditional hog the day that it went on the auction block.  My newest bow is my Robertson Vision Quest long bow that I will be hunting most with this year.  It's 62" and 52#@28 and a real beauty!  I also plan to take game this year with my 45# Hi-speed and 55# hickory self bow!  I'm planning a big year.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

Not sure whatcha mean, I thought everybody got a new setup, every year.
Actually, I try to get a new rig every time my wife gets a new pair of shoes.
Now that we've exhausted all possibilities, lets get started.

Switched bows, switched arrows and switched hands.

Went from right to left handed. Shooting a 50# r/d longbow with CarbonTech Whitetails, 100gr insert and an Eclipse 125gr with 75gr steel adapter. It all finally came together last week. Elk hunt starts Sept. 11

Change is good..........but expensive!  :archer:

Just picked up a Dryad Hunter 57# up about 5#, trying a strap on bow quiver for the first time. Went back to laminated birch arrows after a brief flirtation with hex shafts. Also I am going to try 4 fletching. Just to top it off I got some of the big Zwickey 4 blades. Changed and upgraded just about everything!

Built myself a new bow for this year.  Just shy of my mark of 60#@25.5", I hit 57#.  Sweet shooter, new batch of arrows coming up soon, sticking with what I know and what I can sharpen, Magnus 145 grains.

I'll be using my new Striker Stinger 47 lbs.  I'll be taking either some homemade arrows with some yet to be purchased Zwickeys, or some old but trusty aluminums with screw in Bears.  Not sure what quiver I'll be taking with me.

Down from 56" 55lbs Morrison recurve to 47 lbs 52" Morrison Cheyenne!  Also have a used 45lb 56" Bear's Paw that was delivered Yest.  Not sure about where it will end up yet.  It better be good to beat out that Cheyenne for #1 spot.

I have a Crow Creek Black Feather, 62", 48#@28" that I know will go to IL with me.  I have a A&H/OL ACS CX that should arrive tomorrow that may well go, too.  The Cocobolo riser was built by OL and the 66", 45#@28" limbs were built by A&H in 4/07.  I have some new arrows, 29.5" Beman MFX 500s, on the way to me for the ACS CX.  I'll be shooting 125 gr Silver Flame broadheads and it remains to be seen whether or not I install 100 gr inserts, as well.

I've shot alot of bows in 30 some years and I know for one I will be exchanging Back and forth from my Carbon Caster Purpleheart stick with 45/50 pound woodies and magnus heads to  My  Voodoo Kustom Elk risor Bow. Here I am shooting the new Elk Risor bow 60" 29" draw 60# sweetest  shooting bow I ever held. It throws 2020 aluminums with 125grain Steelforce shafts for a total weight of 640 grains with authority!!!     I know for a fact that Steve has had and shot so called High End (Junk) that he knows what makes a good bow. Thanks Brother!

I completely rearranged my bow rack this year.  I only have 1 bow that I had last hunting season.  I still have to figure out what bow or bows I will be using this year.

Right now it looks like I'll be shooting my BW PLIII,54#'s at 28". Out of all the bows(19) in my stable that's the one I'm best with.
However that could all change by the end of this week as I have an Ancient Spirits Sequoia due to arrive soon.
