Carl, It is a brand new longbow that the limb is designed to work on a belly or top mount. Andy was my guini pig.
 This bow is a very moderate d and r longbow and a completely new design to me.

I love the way the limbs blend into the riser. Excellent work. I'm going to have to drop you a line Steve and see if you have any LB's hanging around.

This limb will be coming out this next month on the belly mount. I'm getting really excited about it now.

Well, even though I'm nearly 56, this old dog learned something this weekend. I can't release an arrow nearly as cleanly or consistently with my fingers as I can release a bullet from a centerfire rifle! I chronied several different times this weekend, and got different results each time. The arrows were still hitting where they were supposed to hit, but the chrony gave me different results every time. Each time was at a different time of day, so the light was different each time. Suffice it to say, I have no idea how fast this bow is shooting. I've gotten results between 140 and 190 fps with arrows weighing between 560 and 650 grains. Soooooo, my conclusion is that my time is better spent in the woods with this bow than it is shooting arrows through a chronograph!

I am still tickled with this bow, and believe anyone who gets a bow from Steve will be extremely satisfied...except for they probably won't be extremely satisfied with just one!  

Andy, A fact of life is that you have to have good light for a chronograph to work consistantly. When you can get outside and have a clear sunny day you will probably get consistant results.

As an addition, today I shot some bareshaft AD trad lites. They had either 125 gr or 300 gr field points in them. The 125's were consistently nock right and the 300's were rather straight on. That is amazing to me!

I had another man tell me that his Talon took less spine well. That is strange to me and has not been my personal experience. All of them I have spent time with were partial to medium to heavy spines.

Dr Ashby told me the very light (~7 gpi) arrows work well for ultra efoc arrows, so I tried these just for grins. He talked about building the side plate out, too...but I didn't mess with that because it doesn't seem necessary in this case.

Wonder what will happen if I hang another 100 grains up front?  This bow also shoots the regular AD Trads well.
