Looking at building a short primitive bow over the winter.
Primarily a small game bow for squirrels.

Draw length due to AMO will probably be 25-26
Has anyone ever use a floating anchor?
I tried it and amazingly  I shot very well using my thumb nuckle as an anchor in the corner of my mouth.
Any input?

Repeat anchor & nockpoint are staples of good shooting. You'd need to show me before I would ever stack hands w/what I can only perceive at this point to be a floating anchor. Never heard of it MOF, but, I'm still kinda new so don't go by what I don't know.

I have to do that when I'm shooting my buddy's bow. My normal draw is 31", his is 26.5". It works well for me. It's not really a floating anchor, though, if you're using contact points between your hand and your face, no matter where they are.  A floating anchor would be just holding your hand out in front of your face, or off to the side, with no consistent point of reference.
