Anyone that knows me well or half way well, knows i am going to buy and try everything related to bowhunting. If it doesnt exist then i'll make it. Most my gadgets and store bought hopefuls, fizel out. Only A couple of products i have found over the years WORK!.....Smokey's Lure...My cameras don't lie either. Attached is just one of many last year clips, i filmed from trail cameras, bucks coming to a "Mock" licking branch i made with Smokey's Preorbital and Doe Interdigital Gland lure.  I am also a big fan of his FEMALE coon scent. Time and time again it over powers my human scent left by my boots and garments on the trail to my stand.  It is the best cover scent i can find..i quit looking... Smokey also taught me how to lay a scent trail with a unscented paper towel.( call him for details).......Simply.. his stuff works and it should...he's a trapper....He is also a Sponsor...support him and you support TGang...win win!

Very true Joey been using smokeys stuff for years.

I set a trap last week....and went back to check it....made two mock scraps with Smokie's instructions,....and some buck is trying to take them over....tracks in both scrapes, and more leaves missing from the licking branch.

I just hope I get time to sit in the trap I set.

Here is another nice 8 on my hit list this year that was hitting the "Smokey  branch"...unfortuately i was duck hunting....i am going to give the ducks a rest......and sit some in the Smokey Trap!

Me Too...I ran him west out of Gordon County....

Awful quiet out there at lunch...not even a squirrel....no birds chirping either....However, somebody's done cleaned out my fake scraps again. And, he really re-freshed a big cedar rub.

Hopefully I'll get enough 'time in the trap' to catch him.

I am going to take Uncle Barry's advice and Hunt tomorrow. going to Hunt the Trap for first time this year. freshen my Licking branch with the Preorbital and install a camera again.  both these bucks on the video ( the 8 and 9pt) made it through last season so we 'll see.  

Strap in tight TG don't dose off.  I always wipe a little of Smokeys Coon scent under my nose to keep me awake.

Its raining here....and suppose to stop at noon tomorrow...I hope to get back out tomorrow afternoon and refresh scraps AND rubs...and hunt at least 2 hours.

Then its suppose to get down to 28 degrees tomorrow night....and I"m going back in Friday morn at Daylight.

I wont be able to hunt Saturday....but will be back in at Daylight Sunday.    

I'll use the buck/doe drag rag Friday and Sunday for the 1st time....

getting my stuff together to try a all day sit found 3 nice scrapes in about 300yrds of woods the other day i was out checking small woods just big enough to bow hunt. found a nice creek crossing going to set up about 15 yds in a bush feet almost in the creek looks good in my mind. digging out the big rubbers tonight might still hunt in the creek a bit after 2 if i make it that long sitting. its spossed to rain a bit tonight should make the potatoe chip leaves walkable also. but it looked like i could just walk up the creek. mam im pumped right now hope i can sleep tonight insted of in the woods tomorrow. this is my first year bow hunting and im lovin it just feels right bow in hand

Terry, it didn't work out quite like I expected...a few days later I went back to check, and somebody had put a picture of a buck licking the branch next to it.
