OK, I've seen the video of the KME broadhead sharpener in use.  My question concerns the ease of use if the broadhead is still on the arrow....awkward or relatively simple?

I can't see how you could sharpen a broadhead attached to the arrow using the KME. Would think it would have to be removed from the arrow.

Well I'll give you the other side of the coin.  I have the KME broadhead setup, and a couple days ago gave my Grizzley elGrandes a tune up while they were still on their spruce shafts.  The results were great, you just need enough space to do it, and support the weight of the shaft with your second hand.

I just read your original post again, and wanted to add one other thought.  If you will be using the sharpener with high mechanical advantage heads like the Grizz or the Tuff Heads, I would go with the KME knife sharpener.  Stones wide enough to handle heads that are three inches long are hard to come by, and with the knife sharpener you stroke the stone on the blade instead of the blade on the stone.  BTW, have you bloodied Alpha yet?

sou-paw, no not yet unfortunately.  

I have no problems useing the KME knife sharpener with B-Heads glued onto the arrow. Like stated above make sure you have enough room to manuver.

You can use the broadhead sharpener easily with long broadheads like Grizzlys and Tuffheads by either using a 3"X 8" DMT diamond hone or various grits,wet or dry sand paper on a flat smooth surface like glass,counter top,steel plate etc.

I did a "How To" which is in the "How To Resources" section,titled "Sharpening Grizzlys and Other Stuff",that shows how I use the broadhead sharpener,DMT hone and sandpaper.
