Personally i prefer a straight grip , and if thats not availiable I settle for a straight grip ... short of any other options availiable I'd instead have to get a straight grip ...

Did I mention I like straight grips ...

Slight Dish. Pics of a few of Howard's bows seemed to have a slight dish to them. Works great.

I prefer a straight grip, but it definitely needs to fit my hand size. I've got a Halfbreed that had a slight dish to it. It was much too small for my hand, so I built it up to fit with leather layers. It's straight now and I love it.

I also have a Cheetah that has a locator grip. I shoot it just fine, but the straight grip on my Halfbreed feels much better to me.

Strait is what I like and fits me the best.  :)

Straight or Dished. I honestly can't tell much difference between the two. I like the "feel" of the straight better than the dished but I shoot both practically the same.

Dished or Straight, either one is fine with me.

That said, I'm not with the "majority" on this one; I like the locator because I need all the help I can get with consistency!

I like a dished grip, but also shoot a straight grip well.

I only voted so I could see the results.  It doesn't really seem to matter much to me.

I've had and shot all three Hill grips offered. Moved from the locator, to the dished, to the straight in that order. Once you get use to shooting the straight grip its hard to go back.

arrow flynn

straight grip wedge type sized for your hand so thumb overlaps index by 1/4 inch to 1 /2 very repeatable for me anyway done by nate steen

Contrary to some current teachings and suggested approaches, a firm and controlled type of grip ('get ahold of it', said HH) works fine and dandy on Hill-style bows.

The overall shape of Hill-style bow grips seems more connected to aesthetics than to shootability since the actual shape differences are minimal.  I do like the looks of the straight and dished grips, though.
