Well, we are heading out to camp bastard starting Friday night. We usually go to camp and stay for a good week of bowhunting and eating REAL good. Things look to be getting just right with the rut and I'm excited. We've seen some good bucks and it will only get better.
This year we have a special guest coming. Good friend Michael Langehans (sunnyhill archer). Most of you know Michael from the poundcake wars. He usually leads(and talks smack) for the 1kLLC guys.
Anyhow we have bbeen getting stands ready to give Michael a chance at a wall hanger. And they are here!!! I just hope he gets a crack at a good one. So here are some pics from years past and I'll update when I get back.

I should explain our camp name. Several years ago the guys at work started laughing at us for using the equipment that we use. Ya,really they did. Well,through the years, everytime we brought a big buck in they would say "you lucky bastards". I think the luck part finally wore off but the "bastard" camp did not. I mean we are the odd ones of the prison. So they gave us all individual names. From left to right:

Rob-aka "little bastard"
Me-aka "Captain Bastard"
Mike-aka "sarcastic gas man bastard"
Ben-AKA "FAT bastard" ( I wonder why)
Not pictured -Steve- aka "old bastard"

The two young men will earn their names in due time.

We just might add a "dentist bastard" after this week.

When I was at Whips, we had Charles call Mike and taunt him as we ate poundcake.
