Early last summer Darryl and I videoed Chad Weaver and Rod Jenkins for Chad's new video. Here is a photo and links for anyone interested. In the outtakes Chad does the splits which is worth the cost of the DVD in itself.  :)

A HUGE "Thank You!" to Rod, Denny, Darryl, and 3 Rivers--this project wouldn't have made it without them.

The quality of the video, the close-ups, etc. are excellent.  We didn't mean for this one to replace "Doin' the Twist", as they both have some information you won't find in the other, but I have to say it's a much better quality production.

We had a great time doing it and shooting a few rounds of "rug ball" behind Denny's when it was over.  It was a long time coming, but it's finally here!

Rug ball ?????

I've been making strings for a while but I'm going to order the video today...

With you guys making it the entertainment value will be worth the price, all the information will be appreciated too!

LBR

Rug ball is better than 3-D!

Denny and Darryl caught a few "bloopers", and the part at the end wasn't supposed to have made it to the video...I do wish we could have caught Denny's expression on film...priceless....

Chad doing the splits?  That is priceless just thinking about it!    :scared:    :)    :biglaugh:

Almost forgot--along with the much better close-ups of flemish, a lot more time is spent on making endless strings (than in "Doin the Twist").  Rod shows a "trick" that I'd never seen before we filmed that segment.  It solved my main problem with making endless loops--I actually learned some things during filming.

Just ordered a copy 2 minutes ago. Been making strings of both types since about 1972. Don't need the DVD but then didn't need "doin' the twist" either, now have both in my Library. And I can't wait to see Chad doing a split!

I saw chad do a split at ATAR a few years ago. Not for the week of heart.

Ya'll are just jealous 'cause I'm flexible...

We had fun filming, but it does have a ton of serious information for anyone interested in learning to make their own strings, or improving their technique.

Some times the uneventful nights are just as good if not better than the eventful ones

I got my DVD in the mail yesterday and got the chance to watch it this evening.  I've been making my own strings, both Flemish and endless loop, forever, it seems.  I thought I knew how to make a string pretty well.  After watching this DVD, I found out I had a good grasp of how to make an adequate and functional string—the epitome of mediocrity.   :^)

Actually, I knew very little about strings, string materials and how to make a consistent string.  Chad and Rod have put together an easy to understand; country laid back, excellent instructional presentation of "how" it should be done—with a lot of humor along the way too.

If you have any desire to learn to make your own strings, or if you're an old-timer (like me) who thought you knew how to do it, you need to see this one.  It's very informative, entertaining, and will make a great addition to your archery DVD library.

Ordered my copy evening of Nov 1st. Received it afternoon of Nov 3rd. Watched the entire DVD that evening.   :scared:

I bought Doin the twist and my string making skills increased greatly. Can't wait to get the new one.
