Lately, I've been buying and selling bows more than I like to admit, but I finally think I'm done.  The first time I shot a MOAB was earlier this summer.  I came upon a 62" one and loved the way it felt and shot.  But with my shorter draw (27.5"), I've heard that the shorter 60" bows are where it's at.

After searching the classifieds for over a year, I finally found a 60" MOAB.  Got a pretty good deal on it and I have to say I kinda feel like I robbed the previous owner.  I couldn't believe what I had in my hands after opening the tube yesterday.

I have to pause for a bit of a confession now.  I've been shooting various models of Thundersticks for about a year now and absolutely love every one I've shot.  When asked by others about the bows, I usually start off by saying how great they shoot.  I seldom comment on the looks b/c I never felt they stood out from the competition in that respect.  They're by no means ugly, but they just were not the top of the line.  I would now like to retract that statement b/c the bow I was now holding is an absolute masterpiece.  It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for and I couldn't be happier.

It had a short description in the ad with not much detail other than length and weight.  When I opened the tube I was pleasantly surprised to see the antler tips.  Just wanted to share my excitement with my trad family.  Plus, I know how much everyone likes seeing bow pictures.

This bow shoots great.  Can't wait to actually tune some arrows to it to see what it can really do.

That is one sweet longbow right there! I love the quilted maple limbs. Looks like a real shooter too. Well Done!

The only thing better than a MOAB, is another MOAB. And another. I've got 3 of 'em, love em all. Thats a fine lookin bow ya got there, its tough finding used ones for sale, seems nobody ever wants to part with one, unless maybe they're ordering a new one. My wife shoots a III, and my son a Mag. All great shooters.

I removed the cat wiskers and brass nock point.  Reserved the string, adjusted the nock point, and added the yarn silencers.  Took my best guess at an arrow/point weight and got pretty close.

It's a keeper.      :)
