I just bought a dozen Easton Gamegetter 2016 arrows. They have fletchings instead of feathers. Do i need to switch them to feathers to get proper arrow flight and tuned properly.

if your shooting off the shelf, then yes. If your shooting off a rest, then you can probably get them shooting.

Not to be the "technical Terms" police, fletching refers collectively to the fins or vanes the help stabilize an arrow in flight.

Vanes are what you are what you re referring to and are generally not used on Trad. bows because they will hit the rest and "kick" the arrow and are not as accurate. Feathers are flexible and do not effect the flight of the arrow as much and are more forgiving.

You can get them redone with feathers for a pretty reasonable price at a decent shop. Although you may be able to get away with using them if you use a rest, I would have feathers put on them just to eliminate any issues you may have.

Why don't you try shooting them and see.  A cheap stick on rest will make them shootable.

I read somewhere that if you raise your nock point a bit you may be able to shoot vanes without hitting the shelf... I've never done it myself. Think it might be worth a try.

Good Luck...

Bill Matlock use to shoot vanes out of longbow bye raising the nock point up  to get good arrow fight , if I remember right it was in the TB about 10 year ago ( rain vanes )

I shoot an elevated rest, only shoot vanes.

honestly i know people will argue about how feathers are much more accurate than vanes out of trad gear. and i do agree with that. however if your just getting started or a just shooting for fun i dont see the neccesity to go but feathers and have them refleched. so as far as im consired go out and shoot then as they are and find out for yourself
"SHOOT STRAIT" - something im still working twards

I would recommend getting them refletched or fletching them yourself.
