We shoot AT rabbits often.  We hit a lot of rocks, and almost never find our judo or hex heads. I started tying a piece of dental floss around the head and then twist the floss up the shaft about 4 inches.  I tie it on the shaft and run a dab of rubber cement on the top knot.  Just this morning I broke a nice cedar an d the judo was danging on the end of the floss due to another boot top break.  I do not know if it makes a difference if you go twisting to match left or right wing! (wink)

I've heard that you can do something similar by putting a couple inches of surgical tubing on the arrow. Positioned so it's on the head and the shaft, if the shaft breaks at the back of the head it's supposed to keep them together so you don't lose the head.

Duct tape works very well, also. It has saved me several judos.

that sounds like it works, surgical tubing used for slingshots but cut 2" sections then slip them over the shafts looks good.

also while we are on the subject of judo's when your shooting in the deep snow after stuimps or rabbits get some bright string like fly line backing or even yarn and connect it to the nock ened of the shaft (I drill a tiny hole through the taper area of the nock) and then cut the other end so it it is about 3" longer then the point of the arrow (while connected)      now when you have the arrow nocked drape this yarn over the shelf so when you draw back the arrow to shoot it comes back right under the arrowa nd doesn't interfere with anything .

when you shoot and you usually can't find the arrow under the snow because it skips along the frozen ground under the snow for a while , you just look for that long section of bright string or yarn and you will find your arrows 5 times as fast as before which means the fletching may still be pretty good and not all wet and flat like most of the time.

If for some reason you DON'T want to save some $ 3 rivers has some tubes that are thinner than the surgical tubing?! I always use arrows I don't mind breaking-usually shorter arrows or arrows I might find that don't really match mine but are close....
