I'm thinking about getting one are they lined? If not how are they about stopping the wind?
Some people are like Slinkies ... Not really good for anything,
But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Kelly

Wish she made them with zippers-I hate pullovers but love plaid wool.

As bell's are good folk.  I have two wools.  One is a pull over from down under, and the other is a Royal Marine issued wool cammo.  They both are longer than our standard jackets thus keeping those large thigh muscles covered. Thick wool is relatively windproof

No lining.

They sell a windstop undergarmet.

bicster

I wore this one for the first time yesterday morning and shot my biggest buck.

BCWV

I love my Asbell wool. Nice buck Bicster!

Covey

Centaur,  what pattern is that? That looks awesome...blends right in!

ChuckC

They're pretty nice. . . .  !

Mine is a bit of a custom job, not exactly standard.  Hoping it gets cold here cause I can't wait to wear it.

My wife said " the wool is felted".  Not knowing what that means, I gave her a (my typical) dull look and she said that somewhere along the line it was washed and pre-shrunk so it is tighter and thicker and less likely to let wind thru.

I don't know if that is true, just her thoughts, but it sure seemed true by looking and feeling.

I like it !

I like this kinda pattern.  There are vertical and horizontal lines.  Depending on how you hold your tongue is how you see it.  Squint your eyes and look at the verticals in my pic and see it change.

And note,  I am in mixed sun and shade, it sure doesn't shine all over the place in the sun.

Covey, it is Evening Stand Green. It worked pretty well this morning, though, I had 4 does under 20 yards and they never knew I was in the country. They totally looked right through me. Also, snuck up on about 20 turkeys to 10 yards, but they were on the wrong side of the fence. They never saw me, though.

I have a lot of Teresa's wool, this Evening Stand Green is my favorite. I have been wearing it just about every time out this season.....probably 15 hunting days so far,and I have not found the situation where it does NOT blend in. Pines, brush, swamp grass....it seems to blend everywhere. LOVE IT

I think she called mine fall blend. I love Teresa's pullovers. I my have to get one in the green... looks great!

Bought one just for my Colorado elk hunt.  Love it!

Keefer

Charles,
I really like the looks of yours too.Do you remember the pattern name?

ChuckC

Mine is the brown version of Evening Stand.  I also have some green from another seamstress that is no longer in business.  Both are not only well made,  but really good looking pieces of garment as well.

My wife said maybe santa will bring me one. So I guess I'll have to wait & see.

I ordered mine for my moose hunt.  I loved it when it was cool enough to wear.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Any idea about chest sizes on the pull overs?
I like the look of them but being on the other side of the pond want to buy right first off.
My chest is 44in and I am 23in across my shoulders, if that helps.
Thanks for all the help.

centaur

I wear a 44, and the Large fits very well, with room to put a sweater or similar layering under the jacket.
