I sit all day starting around the 10th, until Thanksgiving.  I've shot my biggest bucks at odd times, so I'd rather be out there.  It's easy if I have confidence in the spot.

I'll have second that! I just dont think I could sit all day. Maybe three or four hours at a time. Good luck if you try.

I drive 50mi. of back country roads in good deer country to work one way. I swing 12hr. shifts so i'm driving daylight and dusk. When mature bucks start running across the road in front of me in the daylight hours i try to pull some all dayers. Last week I pulled two all day sits and saw deer both days between 11:30 and 2:30. I live in the piedmont section of S.C. and for the past 20yrs. I have been able to count on the bucks moving well the last week of Oct. and the first few days of Nov. anytime theres a cold snap regardless of what the moon charts say.

I don't sit all day. I usually sit from daylight to 9 or 10 in the morning depending on activity. Then I sit from 2:30 till dark in the afternoon.

I'm going to kansas next week and plan to do some all day sits even though the weather looks to be pretty warm.

I have had some incredible encounters mid-day. Hunting all day can be hard, but certain days and certain stands demand it for me.  I stand, stretch, take a thermos, book, even get down off treestand and take a nap sometimes.  My biggest to date- a 173"er was 10:40.  I blew it on another bigger than that at 11:30 one day.  Mature bucks move ALL DAY in the key times.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

At the first sign of the boys chasin'!  It takes discipline I wouldnt b.s. ya.....but from experience I can say its worth it!  Seen some great stuff at all times of the day.  If you can get them to stop for ya too,  you're in great shape haha!

Oh Ryan, what does your dad know?...Wait a minute....Strike that.  :nono:

Seriously, your dad was nice enough to sign a copy of "In Persuit Of Trophy Whitetails" and hand it to my sister to give to me when I was a teen, just because she told him I like to hunt, while they were having a conversation on a plane. Wish to God I could find that book. I somehow got lost when I moved out of my folks' house.

My goal this year is to sit all day at least once.  Typically I hunt the morning until 9:30 or so, then catch the last 3 1/2-4 hours of light.  I'm searching for a better pack to carry some food with me.  The one I have barely fits the things I need.
