Nice pig, sure would love to know a weight estimate, that boy is big.
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

I would absolutely LOVE to go after something like that.  That is for sure a trophy of a lifetime.  Congrats and thanks for the pics.

I put him on a 440lb scale and he bottomed it before he was off the ground. I lifted him on up and broke the scale. I figure he was in the 500 pound range, but I could be way off. I do know just his head, shield and skin were well over 100 pounds. The pic hanging from the tractor is the best to get a sense of size as his legs are tucked in the other photos. With his nose just touching the ground, His hindquarters were a little over my head and I am 6'3". I can assure you he was an imposing figure on the hoof!
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

Wow, great hog and great story!  I am sure another will grow to replace him, then you can start the chase all over again.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Glad you came out of it OK. That was a great story and the pictures really add perspective. That is one big hog! Congratulations on a 2 year effort.

Man that is one honker of a hog. Too bad he went down so easy. Ha. Congrats on a great trophy and glad you made it out without too much damage.
