Why didn't you just ride him till he dropped?  He is big enough.

Nice job and great story.  Seriously, glad you didn't get hurt.

Congrats.

Travis, that is a hogzilla for sure.  I'm glad you are ok after that experience and the hog got what he deserved.

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

You know hogs are a real problem, and I am thrilled I finally got him, but part of me cannot help but feel a loss. He was famous around here and had evaded all the traps and gun hunters out to get him. He also battled to his last breath. I have to respect that. As I get ready to hunt this afternoon, that swamp seems somewhat diminished without him in it.
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

Yellow Dog

Travis, well done     Finally made it home from work to get a couple of your pic's posted. That's one giant hog.

Good huntin, and shooting !

All I can say is WOW   :scared: , we are supposed to have them in the Southern part of the state, don't know if they are that big, but it must have the Gov't nervous because we have orders to shoot on sight, haven't seen any yet in central N.J.
