Great stuff, guys! T, that girl is huge.  Yeah, Mike, I'd be grinning too.

I shot this buck on November 10th with a Wes Wallace Mentor recurve.

Thanks!  It is my older brothers Jeep.  He wanted to get the "Bowhunter" that is on the hood in the picture but he was having a hard time getting the pic with my cell phone.  The deer was moved 3 times into different vehicles before it made it to the locker because I don't own a truck!  It was my lucky day I guess.

I got this really old buck on Nov. 18. He was cruising looking for does and I made what I  thought was a perfect shot, just a couple inches to the side of the crease of the leg at a slightly downward angle. He busted out on a short sprint of about 30 yards and stopped. Thinking he would just fall over in a few seconds I watched him just slowly walk away. I could see him for about 100 yards, then he went over a steep bank out of sight.Beginning to wonder about my shot I stayed in my stand for 3 hours. After getting down I went back and got a friend and we started to search for him. After getting to the bottom of the steep bank the blood trail disappeared. We combed that hollow for 2 more hours with not a bit of luck. After going back to the house and getting something to eat I went back by myself and started searching the whole area. I would go aways and sit down with binoculars and comb the whole area then move on. After 2 hours of this I went back and started over. I went up hill a little bit from where we were looking and found his bed. Blood led from his bed for about 50 yards and I found him in a downed treetop. He probably made it about 500 yards total and the shot was exactly where I thought.I could not have placed the arrow any better. Talk about one tough old guy. [/URL

I have taken 5 deer so far this year and have worn a different "Chris" hat taking each one. They are filled with Mojo.
