I know that some of y'all guys spend alot of time perfecting you arrows. You take pride in getting them just right. You are the guys I need to talk to.

I am setting up another dozen arrows for this year. I am going to put an aluminum footing on. I have GoldTip 55-75s with the wood grain wrap. The only shafts in aluminum I have that seem to be close is a set of old 2216s. They have just a hint of play to them and I am wondering if this is going to work or not. The 2117s that I use on 35-55s for my lighter bows fit like a glove.

Is there a better shaft to use to foot these?

God bless and thank you,
Nathan

Nathan, they should work especially if you use a thicker epoxy or some use Gorilla glue which expands.2219 has slightly less inside diameter.I'm not sure if it will be too tight or not.If you get the gap filled with glue, however,I think you will be good with what you have.

I use the 2117 for 55/75 but haven't tried them on the wood grain shafts,  Are they larger diameter?
