First I have to say Thank You to Felix because last year I was looking for a certin bow and Felix had what I was looking for and he also had a '64 Kodiak we was wanting to sell but due to funding I couldn't afford both. Well Felix was kind enough to just send me the '64 Kodiak and in return I hope to take him deer huntin in Iowa soon.

Last night Mattie and went out hunting again we havent had to much success due to the fact that she gets pretty excited when the deer start getting close and can't sit still.

That all changed last night. First we had 2 small bucks come down the trail 10-12 yards away and then a doe and 2 fawns on the same trail 20 munites later. I made a good hard quarting away shot she she travled less than 60 yards. Mattie and I have hunted quite abit the last 3 years and this is our first deer together

I used my '64 Kodiak, a '64 Bear Razorhead and Micro-flite #8 arrows.

Fantastic!  Looks like a great hunting partner.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Now that's doing it the 'Old School' way for sure. Well Done!

That is very cool I hope my daughter will go hunting with me too.  She is only 8 months old right now so I will have to wait a little while I can't wait.

Great job. Hope she is pulling the string before too long!

All I can do is chuckle and say glad to see you two got out of your funk considering our conversation Friday!  Nothing like a big fat doe going down in sight to cheer a guy (and gal) up.
