Lately I have been pulling a lot of my shots left.I try to have as loose a grip as possible,and seem to be grabbing the bow after a shot. Always shot my wheelie bow with a sling, so I thought I'd try one. Made up a combo Wrist-Finger sling, no more pulled shots. One of the groups was 4" at 30m (6 arrows),so I punched in 3 unfletched shafts.Still the same 4". 3 arrows and 2 unfletched shafts went less then 2" in the middle. Now this is not normal for me. Do you think I could do it again? Still most of the 6 arrow groups went 6"-7",with the occasional flier. It made a HELL OF A DIFFERENCE. Any one else use some type of a sling?

No, but I only wrap my index finger around to my thumb and my other fingers are loose and barely touch the bow . . . pinky extended.    

I do the same thing as Stumpkiller, used a wrist sling for years, and a bunch of my buds have too, amazing how this can cure  a lot of shooting and "tuning" problems.

Ipcjon, sorry but posting pictures is above me,but I got the idea of Rod Jenkins, Masters of the Barebow vol 3. Basicaly a piece of cord  with a toggle joining the 2 ends together,thread 2 pieces of plastic tube over the doubled cord. Slip the loop over your wrist,tighten  1 tubing, pull doubled cord over your knucles,and between your index and middle fingers,around the bow, and the end of loop over your thumb and tighten the other piece of tube. It works for me.

Some times I can get myself to have the right grip & all is well but sometimes I'll get a brain fart or something & start gripping my bow.
Now I use a finger sling 99% of the time with on occasion a bow mounted sling for that 1%.

The finger slings I have are from the Big Archery Store in Pa. "sorry they don't like links from there since they are not supporters but they are pretty easy to make.

1 or so inch wide by 3 inch piece of leather, about the thickness of yout average tab.
2 slits just big enough to fit the first knuckle of your middle finger & yout thumb into.

I'll get my daughter to take a picture of me shooting with one tonight that is store bought.

Type "archery finger sling" in the search bar on youtube and you'll get a couple different quick to make varieties.

I use both a wrist sling and finger sling. Get them from Straight N arrow slings. They make a huge difference in my shooting.

This is what I use:
Use a piece of para-cord and make an adjustable knot for a loop that will go around your wrist. Then make a couple of knot on the other end of the string.

Tight the loop around your wrist with the knot on the inside of your wrist, then take the string and slide it between your ring finger and your middle finger.

Slip the string under the wrist loop (where your watch is)and let it rest against the string in your wrist loop(it stops against the knots you tied in the end of string) If you have measured the length of the string correct with the bow in your hand the bow will be safe in an open hand when shooting.
