For the money, Magnus Stingers, lifetime warranty IF it does bend.

Ive curled the tip on an ACE standard 160.  Never thought it would happen, but it did.  Magnus Stingers 125  4 blades and Simmons Sharks are what I'm using now.

I've bent Simmons, Razorheads, Woodsmans, Snuffers, Muzzys, Ace, Grizzly and probably a few others I can't recall.

I suppose you can bend 'em all, but the Eclipse 145's are about as tough as they come.

Thanks for the pictures. I'm headed in the right direction. I got 2 of my heads filed down and I am going to try them out tomorrow. Does filing down the tip effect the flight or spin of the tip?

The tip work won't affect flight at all and spin only if you get it off center.

It only takes a few strokes from the file on each side.  As you can see, I keep "tanto" pretty small the angle kinda steep.  The edges and point are still sharp, but very durable.
Good judgement comes from experience.  Experience comes from bad judgement.

Fletcher, I was shown the same way to sharpen the tip over 30 years ago, and have not bent a point from then on.  STOS sharpens their point like that right from the package.  I guess you could still bend one, but it would be an extream hit.

Exactly this... most glue on 2 blades are pretty tough heads if you do this, a small modification that makes a HUGE difference.  A needle point is just a bend looking for a place to happen.

Good to see you posting Rick have not seen you around in a while!
