The grandson of a good friend wants a Fred Bear style hat.He is 9 year old and NEEDS a hat like grandpa's.I'm not sure if they even make them that small.

Bill,

If they are out there, you could probably find one cheaper somewhere, but if I wanted someone who really knew what is available I'd call the folks at noggintops.com .

I don't know of anyone with better selection and expertise.

Good luck solving this important problem!!

Traditional bowhunting is often a game of seconds... and inches!

3Rivers sell a Fedora style hat that is similar to the one Fred wore. About $35. I've been wearing mine for 6 or 7 years now.

You can get the original hat from the actual store where Fred bought his Borsalino hats from in Detroit.  www.henrythehatterdetroit.com  You'll spend soem serious $$ for the real thing, but they have all kinds/styles of hats in every price range.
Enjoy the journey, because the destination just might suck!

Call Whip he has some hats like that.

Thank you folks.I'll pass on the info.I think Joe quit carrying hats.I'll check to make sure.

Will,A Robin Hood hat just will not do.It has to be like the one his gandpa has!The little guy even tried to talk his grandpa into cutting his snake skin hat band in half. That way he could put half of it on his hat.The boy had it all figured out.He and grandpa could each put their half on the front of their hats. That way no one would know they only had half a hat band.    Made since to me.  :D

Isn't there a sponsor here named Noggintops that sells these type of hats. I remember seeing an ad for them in tradbowhunter. I think you can reach them at  www.noggintops.com

I'm not stocking hat inventory any more, but can order them yet.  But the smallest size that Bailey Hat company offers is a small.  The size chart says a small is 21 1/8" - 21 1/2" head circumfrence.

Pendleton makes a wool hat that looks simular.  My Grandson wore my old one for awhile.
