We had some new country to explore for a few days. The bow and I remained luckless, but Dave managed to show a little piggy the error of his ways. He was shooting his 65# at 27" Black Widow PSA2 and his home-made Douglas fir / STOS arrows. Being new country, we spent lots of time working-out where not to hunt and how to get to the good spots for next time. So, hopefully next year we'll do a couple of trips to this place. It was lots of fun and very interesting being in new country closer to the coast (which means keeping a sharp eye out for handbags, and carrying handbag repellent). Enjoy the pictures! Cheers, Ben

They're station cattle, J-dog - tagged in the ears.

Mr. Maher, it is indeed warm! I only saw one handbag, not a very big one at perhaps 2m or 2.5m. But I wonder how many saw us? We saw a big drag mark in the dry mud, with big footprints, where one had come-out in a hurry at something.

Nice. That land was made for bowhunting. Someday.

Rockin Ben! Are those wild cows? We had some wild bulls in heavy brush deltas here in Texas. Considered extremely dangerous! Thanks for the pix.
