Yep, I love them big ol ceder tree's and always look for one first to put my stand in or blinds under.

The wind got better again and she finaly settled back down. They stayed around till it got to dark to shoot then went back down the way they came. When I walked out of the timber I ran smack dab into 6 deer running toward me headed for the trail right beside the ditch I just came out of. I got a bunch of snorts that time!!

Back at camp Charlie and Terry had both seen deer also.

I always enjoy sitting around camp after getting back from hunting and hearing everybody replay there hunts for the day.   :D

Kenny stopped by for the evening and was checking to see if we needed any help again. I had no trouble sleeping this night and before I new it I could smell the coffee brewing.

I made it to the stand this time without spooking any deer but couldn't find the rope I had left hanging the night before from lowering my bow down. I finaly shined my light up to the stand and all of it was piled up on the stand platform nice and neat.   :dunno:   I guess mister coon was messing with me or something, At least he didn't leave a calling card with it.    ;)

Soon after daylight I noticed a buck about 80yds away in the dry creek bed eating the yellow hickory and Iron wood leaves laying all around. He spent 30 minutes pigging out before heading away from me. Soon after I heard a deer cough off to my left and looked over and seen a big doe feeding on acorns about 60yds away.

She was a big ol doe and all by her self, Perfect! but it was not to be this morning and she feed on down the ridge away from me.

The rest of the morning was pretty slow except the constant activity from the tree rats.

Great so far guys. I made it home without incident and have been doing errands ever since. With another short trip starting tomorrow morning, my story telling will have to wait until Friday.

Nice story telling Tracy!

Glad to hear you guys had a good time.  Sorry I missed this one.  Had to make a trip back to my parents place in Springfield or I would have come over as well.

Great looking photos as usual Mr. Potter.
