5:30 AM found Sue and I hunting our favorite woodlot. Around deer thirty when you can just make out movement on the forest floor I see a dark silhouette and it appears to be a deer. The deer is picking It's way along the Oak ridge I'm sitting on. Now if this deer stays on this course he will walk right under me. As daylight approaches I see a glimpse of antlers through the brush. Sure enough a legal buck and we are about to meet up close and personal. At 8 yards he stops and checks the wind standing broadside and a little quartering away. I ever so slowly reach for my trusty Super Necedah and still in the sitting position slowly draw and pick a small spot behind his shoulder. When I felt my clicker go and dropped the string it was like slow motion as I watched my arrow disappear at the very spot I was looking. A complete pass thru and got both lungs. The deer dropped in less than 25 yards. Nothing like a hair shaving sharp Bear Razorhead. Now all the work starts ... but it's all good. Sue will be back at it this week to fill her tag.
