Here I set up in a tree
Waiting for the 10 point to stroll past me
As I ponder his gross score
My rump is getting kind of sore

As I spy movement from the corner of my eye
I see my 10 point sneaking by
Grab my bow while smiling with delight
That rascal feels something is not quite right

As he creeps through the opening
I draw my bow and let one fling
My arrow makes a tremendous twack
Too bad I shot the limb above his back

As my buck bounds away
I feel like I could cry all day
As his exit plans are afoot
I swear he turns and gives me the hoof


 


Seriously I just made that up.  I guess its what I get for going hunting and forgetting my book.  Deer movement is zero at the moment and all I have to occupy my time is a smart phone.

Quick update.....while I was pondering my future as an author I happened to see 3 deer 3 different times...figure that one out.

Also had two different bunches of turkeys come by.  One bunch came closer.  The flock is short a bird now.

Arrow, arrow, burning bright,
Like a tiger in the night...

I just made that up.
