I was thinking about ordering a Big Jim Buffalo bow. Does anyone know what the wait time is now?

Mike, Should be getting a call soon. Got my call a couple of weeks ago for my TC. Should be here any day. Ordered mine in January. Great bows slayer1, well worth the wait. Good Luck.

I had just asked Jim about that last week.  Here is the reply from the man himself....

"The wait is 10 months now, but I feel that I can deliver quicker. no promises because as soon as I do, something will break down and put me behind even more. "

In situations like this, I always plan for worst case and then hope to be pleasantly surprised.

10 months is the official word for now.  I got mine almost 10 months to the day.

About a week....... oh wait, that's mine!      

I lucked out and got a spot on the list from a fellow tger in late June.  He had been on the list for 7 months, so 10-11 months sounds about right .

Expecting a package any day now!

If I want to give up my spot what do I need to do? He said mine would be an october build, but I think I am changing my mind since I am shooting recurves so well.

Just post it in the classifieds.  Whoever takes it can reimburse you for whatever deposit you paid, then you can contact Big Jim and give him their contact info.  He'll call them when their build time arrives.  That's how it worked with me.

With an October build, I guarantee it won't take long for someone to take it....probably just a few minutes!   I'm tempted to take it myself and my first one hasn't even arrived yet.  

As a matter of fact, I bet someone has already pmed you after reading your post!

That would be easy and since jim is such a great guy I would not expect anything less.  His bows are so nice I have not cancelled yet - tough call!!
