After you shoot a deer with feather fletchings and they get blood on them do you just rinse and reshoot or just reshoot.  Seems to me the blood would make them stiff and kinda loose the benifits of feathers.
Do or do not.  There is no try.

Rob W.

I rinse mine off and shoot them completly through an old bag target I have a few times. Usually does the trick.

This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

Night Wing

If my arrow is not bent and is still straight (spin test), I take the arrow home, strip the bloody feathers off and re-fletch with new feathers.

I rinse mine with peroxide, then steam them. If they are in bad shape, I just refletch.

Rock 'N Bow

I just wait for the blood to dry and dust them off.

if the hunt was memorable, the kill arrow gets saved and hung on my shop wall, along with the hunt info and maybe a pic or two.  it's not so much about the kill, it's about the experience - the folks, the venue, the hunt itself, all that good stuff.

otherwise, if the arrows is still intact and straight, i'll strip off the taped-on feathers, clean up the shaft, refletch.

Orion

I wash the blood off the arrow and feathers, steam the feathers back into shape, touch up the broadhead and put the arrow back in the quiver.
