Well, I agree, to each his own.  Maturity plays a big role.  My boys, 5 & 7 are more careful with their bow and pellet guns than most grown men.  My oldest,7, has killed 2 deer.  I don't think that is wrong or "man stuff".  

These are my boys, I want to take them everywhere with me and be a part of everything I do!!!

I would also venture to say that most of the members of TradGang, and all of the ones who care enough to read and comment in this thread are the kind of parents or mentors that make hunting a wonderful thing in a child's development.
