Hey guys , anyone know of a source for weight tubes for axis 400's? I know the FMJ shafts are heavier, but was looking  for a cheaper way. I loaded some up with big weedeater string, but i hear it vibrating during flight. thanks Don

Go on line and look up shot sizes for buckshot(just cut the top of the shell). You could add a few with some hot melt and get the weight.

I tried em batman - the ones from 3 rivers - and tried many ways to secure em in the shaft as they say to do - I never got it right. I got some funky arrow flight using them!! scary too!! sometimes thought I'd have to duck my own arrow as it boomaranged.

Tried the weedeater string too? did alright - but have gone back to just the shafts with a heavy head. Not much help -

I have used the 3rivers weight tubes on dozens of Beman MFX shafts and never had any flight problems BUT, they will regularly blow the nock out on hard impacts, even hard 3d targets. I have gone to heavier spined, heavier weight shafts with heavier points to increase weight.

I use the fmj 340 with 150 point,it make a nice heavy arrow.

try making the tube ~1/2 inch shorter than the shaft...

batman, you can get rid of the noise by kinking the weedwacker line about every 4-6". It will force it against the inner wall and be perfectly silent.
