I believe Bob Windauer is working on a book at this time. Bob is Dave's father. Dave (obviously) took over Schafer Silvertip business after Paul's death.

Doubt there will ever be a movie, but you can get some outstanding (and rare) pics on brothers of the bow website.

I talked with Paul Brunner years ago, he said Schaf was not a guy to get in a bar room brawl with. One tough SOB!

A few years a go I read a article about Paul Schafer and his friend Bart Schyler( not sure about the spelling) in TBM great reading!!!! One of the main inspirations of mine to go trad.  I would love to see the book

Read all that has been written by Gene and Barry Wensel, both books and articles.  There is alot about Paul in them.  I believe that Uncle Barry was very close friends with Paul.  Paul is a guy that I wish I could have met one day.

This is a tribute website dedicated to Mr. Schafer.  It has many stories written by as many authors.
