excellent job there!

What was the temp getting down to at night there?

Every elk I've seen that got left over night at this time of year in Oregon, the meat spoiled before we could get it out and cooled down the next day. But we are only hunting at 2-3000 feet here and have temps in the mid 50's sometimes.

Now if it's warm we wait two hours, and track them with lanterns in the dark. makes for a long night sometimes, but our meat doesn't spoil.

Great animal mate. Well done.
