My young friend Jefferson13(Jeff Vinson) came over today to fling a few arrows with me and try out my new bow "Scratches".

We headed out back, me armed with "Scratches" while Jeff was packing "ROI" (my Osage Royale).

We started out on the regular targets and after we gotten ourselves warmed up we decided to do a little still hunting further away from the house which is when we encountered the 1st bear.

We ended up finding at least 4 of them and dispatched all four with some well placed shots.

I am proud of Jeff and the progress he has made shooting the longbow(Howard Hill style) as taught to me by Spanky, Nate Steen, and John Schulz VHS tape(Hitt'em like Howard")  Click on photo to see the video

Here's Jeff drawing down on the 1st bear we found.

1st bear

Here is the last bear I stalked to within about 18 yard and downed with a well placed arrow.

I also made a video of me shooting "Scratches".

Thanks for looking.

God bless,Mudd

PS: Jeff is a remarkable young man and a great student of the bow and arrow.

That first bear seems to have his kill zone in the foot. Quite a difficult heart shot to make   ;)

Looks like a ton of fun! And im envious of  Jeffs beard...

OK Roy.......give the docs a call and tell them what you're doing.  They will change the meds and get you back to our planet.  Remember, deep breaths, relax and our sky is blue....
