Sorry for what may seem a silly question but you know what they say, "the only dumb question....blah blah".  After doing some searching on dvd's here I want to get one of the MBB dvd's, and although common sense would dictate starting with volume one, I am sparse in the common sense department.  So many tradgang members seem to highly recommend Volume 3 that I was wondering if I should start there instead.  Any recommendations on which MBB I should get first?  If it helps, I am learning on a recurve, shooting off the shelf, alloy arrows.  Thank you all.  Tradgang is an awesome resource!

I have the whole set, all 4 of them. If I was to choose just one it would be number 3 with 1 a close second. However they all are good and informative.

I like #3 the best, but I havent seen #4 yet.

Skill is not born into anyone.  It is earned thru hard work and perseverance.

Jason R. Wesbrock

I thought numbers two and three were the best, but I haven't seen number four yet.

Pete McMiller

I've got 1, 2 and 3 and have to agree that you will likely get more out of #3 as far as discussions on form issues.  #1 was interesting with all the personalities on it but I didn't learn as much as I did on #3.

If you only get 1, get #3.  #4 is also good as it mostly covers the mental aspect of making a shot.

Number 1 is great for seeing a variety of shooting techniques, but number 3 is the best for instruction IMO. I haven't seen 4 yet but I will be watching it soon!

I haven't seen #4, but I have the other 3. PM me with an offer, I might be persuaded to part with them.

#3 is the best one for Rod Jenkin's and Larry Yien's discussion of shooting form. The others are more about the shooting gear each uses.

Hawkeye

If you can only have one, I would agree with #3.

I've picked up something useful from each of the four, though.  I think #1 & #2 show more of different individual's styles, #3 & #4 show more about shooting technique and "theory."

All are excellent, but I think someone wanting to learn basic techniques to better their shooting would get the most from MBB III.

Traditional bowhunting is often a game of seconds... and inches!

Number 1 demonstrates a lot of different shooting styles.

Number 2 does the same thing, but also has an informative discussion of arrow tuning by Ken Beck.

Number 3 goes more intensively into training techniques for trad bow shooting.

Number 4 explores the mental aspects of shooting.

My ranking of them would be 3-4-2-1

But I have all 4, and I plan to keep all 4.  I will probably replay all of them from time to time.

I just ordered the pack that has 1,2,3, and 4.  I figure if I just bought one I would want to see the others so why not save some money by ordering all 4 at once.  I should have them next week.  Looking forward to seeing them.

frank bullitt

Yep, #3 first!  Hindsigth maybe?

I've wanted to ask, Larry and Rod, what have you learned, in the series?

Jim Keller

No.4 was the best money I have spent on videos( I have all 4). Joel Turners segment on target panic helped me so much. I am having so much fun shooting now and am shooting better than ever. I fought tp for 40 years and this has given me such relief. All that being said, I enjoy all 4.

Excellent responses and a "thanks" to all that responded.  I think i'll get 1 and 3 to start.  Thanks again

BRITTMAN

I like them all and learned something from all of them but #1 is my favorite .

As your Archery improves and changes over the years you will appreciate all of these DVD's. I revisit frequently trying to struggle with shooting issues that seem to reappear with time.

Sticks2117

3 & 4 are the best I have them all. I just bought them one at a time! Watch the dvd sales on this site you can sometimes get a good deal.
