Is there such thing as a perfect fit on risers, I have two A&H bows with aluminum and wood risers, but I have an archery traditions recurve that I can just pick up and hit almost everything what I point at. Or is it just deciding that you what to do longbows and stick with that until you get that proficient?

I have shot my A&H bows a lot and am pretty good but it seems the riser on the Archery Trad recurve just fits my hand.

Grip has a great effect on how well someones shoots.I have an A&H and prefer the low grip on mine,they have a few different style grips.

I have never liked the straight grips many longbows are built with. Accuracy wise, I shoot poorly with straight style grips. I prefer a medium pistol grip and shoot very accurately with this style of grip. This is why I shoot medium pistol grip style recurve bows.

Get an ACE bandage and wrap different thicknesses around your grip. When you find the best thickness for you, take pictures, measurements, etc. or send the whole damn thing to your favorite bowyer to custom fit your "perfect" riser grip on a well deserved new bow.
