I was gifted a Pro chronograph complements of Grinch, Thank you again great gift.

Got it all set up and started putting some arrows through it. First thing i noticed is that i need to work on my anchor and or release. My first 3 arrows were 175, 170 and 173. So i concentrated on getting to anchor and that helped, i started getting much more consistent speeds. I can see already this is going to be a good tool to check if i have a solid consistent anchor and release.

Any way the results for my set up are:

This thing is going to be a blast as well as getting some form feed back and helping with arrow setup as far as getting the best bang out of an arrow. Its going to be a great tool added to my archery tool box.

It is a little ironic that Stu's calc has your set-up pegged at 173 fps.

Of my limited experience in comparing actual chrony speeds to the calc, my findings are typically 5 to 6 fps slower and possibly wrongly attributing the delta due to suspecting the calc figures came from a mechanical release. A mechanical release is  on average ~5 fps faster than fingers. Of course there is a large range when it comes to hand relaese variations.

Your divulged set-up appears to be the making of a quick and lethal set-up.

I like the chrono once in a while working on my release it tells you a lot about what is going right or wrong.

Sounds like some pigs are in trouble.

I have a chrono and used mainly for working on a consistent anchor and release.

Like you said, good way to check how consistent your form and release is. Another tool to get the "perfection" that we strive for. I have 4 bows that are all close in specs and it was nice to use the chrono to compare and contrast those 4 bows.
