I think the least people can can do is to say thanks and acknowledgement in a e-mail or PM for pictures they request.
It's just polite.

I'm with you, sometimes we get caught up in what is going on, and forget our manners.

I often wonder if folks just don't know how to say, "not for me" and instead, just ignore?

Devil hates a coward so I tend to just share that the offering isn't what I'm looking for...but I see that "avoidance" (because of fearing offense?), in our world a lot today...

People lose their manners more and more every year.

I don't let it go unnoticed though.

Sometimes I will hold a door for a person, and they won't say thank you.

So I loudly say YOUR WELCOME, and generally they get really embarrassed.

I think it's pathetic too.  All they have to say is "Thanks, but it's not what I'm looking for."  Not very hard.

Guilty your honor. Never intend to receive anything w/o thanks; but, sometimes I forget with so many PM's, e-mails, & packages daily. Can see how it might chap some butt. Happens to me a lot too.

I started a thread just like this a little while ago.  It was ended quickly by the admin.

I agree completely. Have been guilty myself unintentionally. For that I apologize. A few times I never received the  pics. if I don't hear back I just figure they're not interested and move on.

It doesn't take long to say thanks one way or the other.

It's just the way society runs nowdays. I went to the big city yesterday and couldn't get out of there fast enough...

How difficult it is to acknowledge the reality of human capability?  For we are capable of the bestowing the greatest love as well as capable of inflicting the greatest hatred.

The decline of morality, ethics and just general courtesy has become the demise of many of society throughout history.

Disclosure of pleasure remains just that, if we are prepared to do nothing. We must lead by example and as with any success of a new or renewed institution; the example must be flowed down from the top. Today, here and now, we must remind ourselves that we remain at the top; for our actions touch many and it remains ultimately up to us to make a difference.  For each of us, was born with an individual gift; and that gift may be used to make a difference and collectively we shall. And if we fail, then we shall leave this earth with peace of mind.

Shoot guys, just post the pictures with the post and they can tell more about if they want it and you don't have to have your feelings hurt when they don't thank you for trying to sell them your bow.

Yup,  COMMON COURTESY  says to be "Nice"! Thats the Problem with the World, People are Afraid, or dont Want to be Bothered, to take a Second or Two just to be  NICE  to Another Human!!    
 Sure, there are "Ways" around everything, but  NOTHING  Beats a Bit of Courtesy!! Least thats how  I  was Raised!!   :cool:

I put a few things for sale on the TG classifieds this past spring. One was a selway quiver for a long bow. Recieved only one inquiry about it, and the guy wanted to trade for it at that. He sounded like he was down on his luck, so, I got his adress and sent it to him for free, postage paid. He never responded back, no thank you, no nothing.

I'll thank you for him, because that was a great thing you done.
