Been trying the gasket lacquer and like it so far... but need to know... What oil based cresting paints are compatible with gasket lacquer?

I think I have this correct, if not somebody will speak up.

You can put enamel over laquer....but you can't put laquer over enamel.

I use TESTORS model paints over my laquer crown dipping.  I don't think it holds up as well as laquer cresting paint but it does work.

I only use acrylic paints with gasket lacquer so can't answer your question directly.
But keep in mind that while "enamel" used to refer exclusively to an oil-based paint these days it refers to any paint that dries to a hard finish. There are a lot of water-based acrylic enamels on the market now.

Javi. In our shop we use testors then put a spray laquer over it for crest prtection. A couple of coats and I get very little shelf burn .
