Hi,

i recently grow more and more interested in a static recurve. So now my question is who makes a decent one?
I have found the Belcher- and the Eaglewingarchery ones, are there other bowyers with websites who offer static recurves?

Thanks alot,
Axel

Dryad offers the Orion and they also make the Black Mountain Sheepeater and Shaman.  I've got an Orion and a Sheepeater Spirit, both excellent bows.

Eaglewing by Steve Tallant "sixby".  Check out the review section for the Eaglewing Talon 11, great reviews.  He is also a sponsor.

Jack Kempf and Sixby make some really great shooting static limb bows.
They are both on my wish list but the reviews are very positive for both.

+3 for the Dryad Orion, I have shot one owned by Ron B. a.k.a Elkchaser, and it is one of the smoothest drawing bows I have ever shot.

those are really nice. I especially like the looks of the RER,
I am building a new model that shoots absolutely fantastic. The Talon 11. Check the Review section for pics and reviews.
Sorry but no pics on my website yet of this model.
God bless you all, Steve

Hornes Archery has a semi-static recurve line.

Have 2 RER's - the 3 piece XLR and the fifties style retro - both shoot great.  The retro is the quietest bow I have ever shot.  Haven't shot the others mentioned here - but I don't think I would trade the ones I have!
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

Guys, not trying to steer off topic but can someone explain the advantage or reason for the static limb tip design?  Thanks.

americanhunter7

Here's an old thread I started and has some great pics of some statics and some of the great guys on here who shoo them. It also has a lot of additional information. Oh and Tommy Boy the static recurve in my pic is a John Brooks bow, with the old style Grumley brush nocks.
