I hate hot weather. And so it's tough to get excited about humping a pack into the hills for training this week.

This morning I had a flash of inspiration. I humped my undertrained body three miles over hill and dale to our town beach. Swam for half an hour and humped back home. Think I've found a way to beat the heat and continue with the conditioning, until saner temperatures arrive.    :)

Always a good idea to stay in shape for the upcoming season.Alot of folks forget how much fun it is dragging out a deer alone.Hydration is essential.

I've been inadvertantly toning the backs of my legs while weeding the garden. Then while camping with the family over the weekend I swam, biked and climbed a 100 ft. tower which really gave the front of my thighs a workout!

Hay work has helped with upper body. I need to do some cardio though.

Splitting firewood is a heck of a good one.

Yes, and it's very rewarding when the oak here splits as nicely as it does! Between the (hand) sawing, the splitting and the carrying, it's definitely a good workout for me.
