Bud B.

I know it was posted but maybe I'm searching wrong...

My GT nocks break regularly. I had two snap a lip today.

Is there a stronger alternative?

15/35 and 35/55

It was my search.

Found it.

Bohning  Signatures

And for the record, we were shooting lightweight bows today and flu-flus and the wings on two nocks snapped off at release. My strings have two tied on nock points.

The only thing the arrows hit were the ground and foam. B55 strings.

I'm guessing bad plastic.

These are GT Trads, with a nock adapter for glue-on nocks. I like my Merc nocks, and this was a way to do it.

Killdeer- where do you get those adapters?

Killdeer

I picked them up from a vendor at a shoot, but a quick search of sponsors here led me to Kustom King. Here is a link.

Yeah. Thanks!!

I have 200 old straight nocks I want to use but didn't know how to use them on the carbons.

:)

Killdeer, Any idea how much those weigh and how much more tip weight you would need to add to keep the same spine???  BTW those are some very pretty arrows!!!

I use the Signature 5/16" nocks in all my Gold Tips after having 4 break. They weigh 12 grains. They have held up very well.

I have an aluminum nock adapter with a classic index nock and they weigh 22 grs together.Nock end weight affects things a little more than the same amount of point weight.I don't know exactly but it would be slight, probably less than most would notice.

Killdeer

The adapters weigh 11 grains each. I don't shoot well enough to tell you what kind of difference 11 grains on the tail end makes.

I switched from Bohning Signature Nocks to Easton Super 3D Nocks since they were the only ones which fit my 3 Rivers 15-strand Flemish String.

Wish Bohning did multiple sizes like Easton does.

Thanks Killdeer, I was just wondering! I'm pretty sure with my shooting I wouldn't notice a difference!

I use the adapters with bohning index nocks. While I prefer the bohning nocks, the total weight is 22 grains and will stiffen up a lightly weak shaft. 3 rivers also sells the adapters.

I use the uninock g nock sold by three river.  I glue in the aluminum insert and then press in the nock.  These also solve the knock poping out problem and keep the carbons from developing micro fractures in the end.
