What would cause a pin to come out of a ILF limb? Is this and easy fix and where can one get parts?
                  Thanks Pete

Usualy caused by someone messing with the little screw and not using thread locker..
Trad Tech / Lancaster has the parts.

Would it be ok to shoot bow without a pin in one limb?

Are you talking about the little spring plunger pin inside the limb ILF insert?
If so, all that does is to keep your limb from falling out when un-strung. It won't hurt to shoot it that way as long as your limb is seated in all the way when you string it.

Pete W

Can't see it hurting as long as the screw is there, which makes me ask... How did you loose the pin and still have the screw ??
Are you sure the pin is missing, and not just pushed up inside and stuck?
They can't come out on their own, the screw has to be removed to get it out.

I just purchased bow, this is the way the limbs arrived. Bow is in great shape.

Iam trying to get a hold of Drayd to ask questions, the gentleman I purchased bow from said he would pay for springs and pins if they should be there. Also should the brass or copper sleave  in limbs, be there? This is my first ILF bow and I know there are no dumb questions, but Iam beging to wonder about these. (LOL)
                 Thanks Pete

The sleeve should be around the limb bolt, and yes, someone stripped the ILF hardware. I'd order and install new ones before using the limbs.

It looks like the limbs have DAS or Hoyt fittings instead of the ILF and someone took bolts out and left the brass sleeve in the limb.  It should be on the riser.

Your going to need a set of ILF limb fittings.  You can get them from Lancaster.  Just ask for John and tell him that I sent you and you need part number 3880095.

Press out the Hoyt bushings and press the new ones in.

Like Mike says, you are missing the whole dovetail, not just the pin and spring. You definately need the Dovetails before shooting.
They look like this ,

This is a set of Drayd Epic limbs. M110082

the sleeves (homemade)pops out of your limbs, both pieces of the dove tail are here ,it is the locking pin that is missing from both limbs.
The first pic is the back of limbs and the second is belly.
           Thanks Pete

Ok, That makes more sense it is the guts that are missing.  You can shoot the limbs that way if you want.  But I'd go ahead and get a replacement set so you have the detent in place.

You can shoot them that way, but if you break a string...DUCK!!!

rainman

How do you take the limbs out easily if you want to take the bow apart Mike?
