Ok the verdict is in and it seems i shoot longbows way better then curves . So i was just curious what few bows are the best of the best for 3 piece take downs?

62" Craig Warren Black Timber 3PC T/D Recurve: 48lb @ 28".

There isn't one. It's totally subjective. One guy will shoot a bow and loves it and can't miss with it. Another guy, same skill level, can't hit a barn door with it.

Gotta try them till you find out what tickles your fancy.

That being said, I've found I like my Pronghorn best of the ones I've tried.

Have fun searching! Try to make some shoots, or get to a club with Trad shooters so you can try them before you buy. If you can't do that, buying used can work well too. If one doesn't fit you, sell it and try again till you find the 'ONE'. Good Luck!

I have heard nothing but good about those Pronghorns. I have never shot one, maybe someday.
I like my ILF longbow system alot though.

Same i actually put this post up with the pronghorn in mind... Sounds like a lot of people really like those things... darn it... Looks like i know what bows coming to my rack soon.

Alright this has been around and around. There are tons of great bows out there. In all honesty I have shot way way more good ones than bad ones. Find one that fits you and you will have the best one made for you.

On a side note. I have five pronghorns and there are a few here who make my collection look dismal.

Try a few out to see what you like. Lots of good ones out there.

I do prefer Pronghorns also. I only have 8 Pronghorn recurves, and 7 Pronghorn longbows, with another coming next week to join the herd. I still want a 62" one piece, then I swear I'm done buying bows. (ya right!)

There are so many to choose from that you can't go wrong. My personal fav is a Morrison ILF riser with Sky ILF longbow limbs.

It is very subjective. My first 3 piece longbow, a Bob Lee Natural.

One I shot that I really like was the Firefly by Jim Jones.

My good friend has a Route 66 Low wrist grip, and it was a very smooth and quick bow.

I know there are lots of them out there... Like has been said the more you can shoot the better.
