Bigriver

I have to show off my new Bigriver widow wannabe. I skinned it this weekend, turned out ok. I do always manage to screw something up when I work on or finish bows. Of course I tore the skin a little taking off the scales. It`s small, but irritates me none the less. Oh well, here are a few pics. Osage & bamboo, carbon stripes. 48lbs@28" 60"

"looks like a mudflap for a honda"

That would be a toyota, thank you.

Thanks all, she is a really nice shooter.

I am always jealous of you guys that can make/do anything.  Knives from files, bows, skins, name it.

Those mudflap things ARE ugly as heck, but nobody that would actually try them would deny how much they improve things I bet...

You should have never mentioned that little mistake Brian.  Now you know I'm going to have to look for it when I see it!  I'm sure I would have never noticed otherwise...

In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln.

Felix, it is proving hard to put this bow down, but I am shooting my td longbow for elk this year again. I HAVE to shoot it exclusively this summer. It is hard to not shoot a new bow, especially this one. I will be ready for deer hunting with it this year.

I have been shooting my 68" Big River well. It will also be headed west for Elk this year.

Good luck Brian! I'll be looking for the thread "Big River Flows West"   ;)      :readit:

Very nice work! I'm gearing-up to skin the limbs on my 3pc Pronghorn with Bull Snake. Hope it comes out as good as yours.

Sweet bow there too.
