Hey Gang,
thought you guys might get a kick out of some sheep photos I've taken over the last few weeks. It's lambing season!

Cheers, Matt

Cool!! Is this what you work at?

The 5th pic, did you shoot that thru a scope or binos?
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Little ones are always fun to watch. Thanks for sharing.

Kenny,
yeah, I get to watch sheep for a living! Not a bad gig;)  All the photos here are through a spotting scope.
Unfortunately, most of the lambs we see will be dead in the next few weeks from predation and pneumonia in the herd.  Already started losing some this past week.
I'll try to get up some pictures of the type of terrain the ewes lamb in.  It's quite impressive!

It's some rugged, yet beautiful country these sheep live in.

Here are some sheep lambing cliffs.  Excellent habitat for the ewes at this time.  They make moving around there look easy.   If you climb up there without gear, and you slip... you will die...period.
This photo has some sheep in it.  Do you see them?

It may come as a suprise to many, but these guys also inhabit sheep country.

Have a great night, Gang!

Nice pics, nice terrain. Thanks for sharing.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.
