I see a lot of folks asking about how a certain bow's shelf is cut. Thought it might be helpful for selecting arrow spine if everyone, who knows, how their bow is cut to list it.

All of the Rose Oak Creations recurves by bowywer Brandon Stahl are cut 1/8" past center which mean they have a (-1/8) number.

Lynn Harrelson longbow- to center
Abbott longbow- +1/16

I know all the recurve bows built by Wes Wallace are cut 3/16" past center so their numbers are (-3/16).

I don't know anything about how the shelf is cut on the Royal longbow he builds.

Unless I'm mistaken, the shelf is what the arrow sits on; the sight window is what you're asking about..

Thank you for the correction. I always refer to it as how the shelf is cut. In other words, it's how deep the shelf is cut into the riser. But I think we are on the same page.

Kanati is cut to center.

Pittsley's Predator is cut 3/16" past center or -3/16".

Apex Predator's are listed on his site...apex predator llc.
