Hi,

After finishing my arrows for the refinished longbow yesterday i was keen on trying them in the field so ive been out for 1 1/2 hours after work today and took the camera with me.

At first i really didnt like the locator grip of the longbow and the handshock was pretty awfull too. But after putting a 10 strand astroflight string on and getting used to the new kind of grip i absolutely love it! Its so lightweight and silent it just feels natural.
and the shooting beens quite good, too.

The start of a small but steep gorge:

After the shot, as i came to retrieve the arrow i saw "natures triumhal arch" ive been shoting through  :D

Thanks! Yes, my opinion excactly would be better than a police officer with a semi-automatic weapon who needs a whole magazine for one sow (seen it on TV   "[dntthnk]" )

But thats mostly Berlin, round here they are hard pressured and very elusive (Im in the north of Bavaria).

Axel, Nice tread, to sit at the end of the day with an adult beverage and get a feel for a stump shooter in Europe. Nice. I'm not good at the tech stuff, and glad to learn that the changing of the string helped with how the new bow performed for you.

Its my favourite way of shooting. I am in a club and we have our own 3Dcourse but it doesnt beat free range roving for me.

Beautiful area.  Is hunting allowed?
No bowhunting allowed in Germany, sadly. Only rifles.
