Lee Robinson .

Here are some photos of my daughter's personal bow. The riser is pink ivory, two 1/4" strips of phenolic, and bocote. The limbs are clear glass back and belly with bocote veneers, carbon on the back just under the veneer, and then an edge grain red elm core. The tip overlays are phenolic, pink ivory, and wooly mammoth ivory (I wanted to do something special for my daughter). She helped with the glue up.

It is signed, "Lady Ivory" "Custom made for and with my daughter, Courtney Lynn. Love Daddy."

It is a 50" r/d "longbow" (hybrid type) and is 25#@24".

Until next time...good shooting,

That is one sweet bow Lee. I bet it really shoots for its weight.  I also bet Daddy made one happy girl.
God bless you, Steve

Beautiful bow...and she's shooting off the proper side of the bow.

Great memories were made. Well done.

Lee Robinson .

Here are a few photos of the glue up. (I normally don't glue up in the kitchen, so excuse these photos please).

Day 1...prep of riser components and riser glue up...

Getting ready to put it in the oven (the oven is not visible in this photo).

Riser is shaped, limbs are prepped, and I am helping her glue up the components. I didn't let her do much of the "dirty" work, so I did do most of the glue up...but she was involved in the process, which meant a lot to both of us. Once the stack was all glued...I placed them in the press and put it in the oven.

I don't have any photos of it coming out of the oven nor do I have any photos of the finish work. I do have this photo of it in the "rough."

Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

Very cool. Man, they grow up too fast, times like that (building things together) you can hold onto forever  :)

How cool is this? Way!!  I'm saying...

It's awesome that she gets to glue up her own bow.

I was truly expecting to see some white glass based on the title of your thread...lol

But it's was worth the "look see" even if the glass isn't white.

God bless,Mudd
