I need to get a string for a bear bow. Not sure of the vintage, but pretty sure it needs to be B-50.

Any one know the correct actual length and recommended nrace height and which sponsor has strings for this bow?

On the handle printed in white is KT94200, amo-60" and 45#

Thanks for your help.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Any of the string makers can help you out.  You can also get modern string materials and have the loops padded (extra string tied in).  I don't know specifically the length your bow needs, but typically, a 60" recurve will need a 56" string.  One way to be sure would be to make up a string that has a timber hitch in one end.  You can then adjust the length to what you need. Once you settle on what you need, use the timber hitch string as a backup, and order a new string with loops on both ends.
